There it was that Noise again. Curiosity got the better of Ella. Ella decided to look out of the window. As brave as she was, she just couldn’t do it. Then a plan brewed in Ella’s smart but scared mind. She would go outside and run down to the pub. Did that really sound like a good idea. She would have to leave Sam all on his own. That wasn’t the main reason. The last couple of days the town had been very mysterious with everyone keeping their own very dark secrets.For example Mr Brown, the next door neighbour had been staying in his house all the time. Ella had always been so close to Mr Brown they always had a laugh and now it seems he was avoiding her. Ella heard a loud rumbling noise outside and a thunderous crashing sound. Ella poked her head out of the window and looked around. Nothing was obscure outside but it certainly felt like it.Ella turned back around and looked at her little brother who was snoring as loud as a angry lion. Suddenly her eyes were drawn to a pair of fluorescent glasses. "They were not there last time i looked" whispered Ella.

" Why are you talking to yourself?" moaned sleepy Sam.

" Oh you are awake now, fantastic!,get ready we are going to go and get Mum and Dad." eclaimed Ella. Ella liked having someone to talk to. Especially when she was scared out of her wits.

"But why would i want to do that?" said Sam annoyingly.

" Look small fry this isnt the time to be stubborn. Just get some clothes on and lets get going!" shouted Ella. That got Sam out of his bed. " Tick tock tick tock" went the clock. Every second the storm got worse and more rain began thundering down on the roof. Sam came through wearing an old t-shirt and ripped jeans.Ella looked at Sam disapprovingly.

"What, it's not a fashion show!" said Sam.

" Oh fine, let's go!" shouted Ella, who was a bit embarrased about being told about fashion by her little brother. Ella and Sam wqlked out the door. The glasses magically fell into Ella's pocket.

Sam and Ella walked past Mr Brown's house. Ella peered through the window and was shocked what she saw. Mr Brown was being strangled by thin air. It looked as if something was grabbing him. The dooropened easily. They rushed through to where Mr brown was struggling. They tried to talk to him but he could not reply. He gestured towards Ella's pocket. Ella put her hand in her pocket and pulled out a pair of glasses. " Wha.. how did you.....?" Ella was puzzled. Ella put on the glasses. To her amazement there was about 3 large hairy gruesome monster like objects. " Oh my goodness, Sam help me!!" Screamed Ella.  Ella fought of the two Monsters coming towards them.

“ To be honest I don’t really know, ever since I was 12 or 13 I could see them. However a long time ago I could be friends with them but now never in a million years!” explained Mr Brown to the two young children.

“ But why cant we see them without the glasses and how come the don’t hurt anyone else except you?” asked Ella.

“ And me, they hurt me too you know but I was brave wasn’t I, I foughted them off.” said Sam

“ No you fought them not foughted” answered Ella.

Sam frowned.

“ Anyway, I will answer your question. You can’t see them because they are a figment of your imagination. However sometimes some unlucky people like me end up in their world as well as ours, and sometimes it ends in a bloody mess.” explained Mr Brown.

“ So you are saying people who can see them sometimes are badly hurt like you or maybe sometimes even killed!” gasped Ella.

“ Cool!!! Carnivorous monsters!!” shouted Sam excitedly.

"No don't be silly!! anyway, this last month monsters have turned on us and have been killing people like me. The worst part is, they have sometimes killed humans who can not see these monsters. It has only been in this town." explained Mr Brown.

" So none of us are safe. We better go and get Mum and Dad and Finn. C'mon." hurried Ella.

Ella, Sam and Mr Brown ran out the front door and down the road.

" Here put these on!" said Mr Brown to Ella. Ella put on the glasses and continued running. Ella, Mr Brown and Sam where nearly there when Ella spotted something out of the corner of her eye.

" What is it?" cried Sam worriedly.

"There.... is...someth....ing over there." chittered Ella.

Mr Brown put his hand in his pocket and pulled out a small hoover like thing. He fired it into the creatures and they were all sucked in to the machine.

" Where are they? I will get them." muttered Sam pretending to fight them off.

" It's ok they are gone." laughed Ella.

"What is that hoover thing? Why didn't you use it the first time?" asked Sam.

" Well i don't know i just thought i would never need it so i hid it away." replied Mr Brown.

Again they continued running until they reached the the pub. By that time they were puffed out. The pub was silent outside. Ella, Sam and Mr Brown had been concentrating too much on being heroes and heriones that they completely forget about the excruicating storm above them. The 3 of them both creeped into the pub.
